Eye of the North question
Eye of the North seems very interesting to me, being expressly designed for Guild Wars vets.
Now I haven't bought a Guild Wars game since Prophecies (for various reasons), and what I want to know is: am I going to be stuck with my same 3 characters for PVE? I've never played any "standard" build characters (my characters are a Mes/E, N/W and R/M), so I've missed out on much of the late-game fun of farming groups because I don't have a Minion Master or whatever. My question is: can I roll up new (level 20) PVE characters in Eye of the North or am I stuck with my old 3? There's NO way I'm playing through Prophecies again to build up a new character, so if I can't roll up a new character I'm stuck with my primary Mesmer, Necro and Ranger. I'd love to try funky combinations of the new professions. Will this be possible? |

Uhm, unless I missed something exterminate and this thread was moved to the "Questions & Answers" forum, he's in the right place.
Now for the question. EotN will NOT have a newbie area, you'll be bringing in characters from the other campaign(s) you own that have already been created, which in your case, means your Mes/Ele, Nec/War and Ran/Mo |

Well to start, there are no new professions in EotN, so you will not have to worry about trying combinations of new professions (unless, of course, you mean assassin/ritualist/dervish/paragon. However, you still can't use those without owning Factions/NF).
And, as dargon said, there will be no tutorial area like Pre-searing/Shing Jea/Istan, so you will need to bring one of your characters from a previous campaign. If you are not against it, you can just pay for runs to avoid having to replay prophecies. |

Thanks for the responses. I knew there was going to be a no newbie area in the expansion, but I was hoping that the game would enable me to roll up a level-20 PVE character using all my "unlocked" skills from the previous game.
My other hope was that I would indeed have access to the expansion campaign professions, at least as secondary classes. I expected there to be an area similar to the Crystal Desert where one could change secondaries, hopefully inculding those professions I don't currently have access to. Oh, well. |

to get those classes, you have to buy the expanision they came with (factions for assassin and ritualist, nightfall for dervish and paragon)
